Back Barbell Squats Barbell squats are a compound move and are great exercise for working your quadriceps but will also train your glutes, hamstrings and calves. To take full advantage of this exercise, the lower you squat the more you will activate your gluteal muscles. These exercises are best performed with a partner to assist with spotting
